SHOW ME DEAF FILM FESTIVAL

WHAT IS SMDFF? WHAT IS SMDFF?

SMDFF is an acronym for SHOW ME DEAF FILM FESTIVAL. It is a fundraising group to help two groups raise funds. Deaf Images established festival to help increase awareness to opportunities for Deaf filmmakers and artists involved in making film successful. SMDFF has agreed to contribute 20% of its proceeds to help GSLAD for 2007. The rest of proceeds will be determined for the future of Deaf Images and SMDFF. Deaf Images plans to tour across the country in 2008 and showcase the films made by Deaf to the public.

There is a project in the works to establish a film school to help further the needs of future filmmakers. Workshops and training will provide the tools and guide future filmmakers into successful careers.
