Workshop fees are:

1. CAMERA AND COMPUTER

Learn how to use camera and computer to make a successful digital video project. (PC or Mac)


2. VISUALIZING A STORY

Brainstorm and prepare a script to have your story told. It can be told in any form or shape. Can do 15 minute to one hour production. Can do short subjects, documentary, feature or anything that ticks with your community.


3. PREPRODUCTION

Organize and prepare for production and how to utilize steps in production.


4. PREPPING CAMERA

Develop an understanding on the use of camera for project.



5. SHOOTING

How to shoot and use angles to complement with your story.


6. EDITING

Learn the tricks of editing to complete your project.


7. SPECIAL EFFECTS

Learn the tricks of special effects to deliver your project and draw attention to it.


8. DISTRIBUTION

Learn to do marketing and mass communication.



A 2 day workshop focused on 8 areas of making digital videos. Learn to make video projects. Learn from start to finish! Become videographer and do business in your community. There are many ways to be a videographer using today's video digital technology.

A prepared DVD presentation is available for each attendee to take home and develop network of technical and professional consultation.


The 2 day workshop is being planned around the country. The dates and reservations will be announced. The group can be smaller or adjustable according to location and availability. The workshop and fees are subject to change without notice depending on availability of lectures and equipment.

ASL is derived from French Sign Language. It was started in the new world when Laurent Clerc came to America. Thomas Hopkins Gallaudet found him when he was touring Europe. More information in future classes.
There is 8 weeks of classes for several levels.

FRI, SAT, SUN - SOCIAL ACTIVITIES - More information in classroom * BEGINNER's * INTERMEDIATE * CONVERSATIONAL * INTERPRETING **Deaf Community is always seeking more sign language interpreters for assignments to facilitate communication between deaf and hearing. The ITP program varies from 2 to 4 years depending on what you are looking for. The profession is changing its requirements. It is recommended that an interpreter have educational background as high as bachelor's level. This can strengthen the professionalism in interpreting for legal, medical and professional areas. There are two important skills that the community stress about interpreting. The skills are expressive and receptive. It is easy to be expressive but harder to be receptive. In order to be receptive, you need to follow the ASL system to understand its linguistic requirements. More information to be added as soon as materials are researched and compiled for this.

DEAF LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM
 
DEAF LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM is a training program focused on leadership. This helps everyone understand what leadership is all about. The program defines what leadership is. This program serves as a guidance for better leadership and more solutions to problems of leadership. The objective is to help leaders and followers know their duties and responsibilities to the needs of deaf and hard of hearing. Communication is needed to provide information necessary for successful outcome of programs and activities. It serves as a model for followers to understand the decision working technigues and be supportive. It offers guidance in becoming pro-active rather than reactive in various situations. The program is one day or two days depending on the program of choice. There is morning session and afternoon session that cover the issues that organizations experience and how leadership can resolve those issues. There are discussions of parliamentary procedures, public relations promotion and networking. For information on this workshop, contact INFO


HOW TO USE MASS COMMUNICATION TO ADVANCE YOUR AGENDA

This presentation explores today's mass communication opportunities. This is good for organizations who need to increase their image in the community. Public relations. media specialist or media committee can benefit from this presentation to help organization do a better public relations and communication with members as well as the public. This presentation also guides the participants in knowing what is available on internet and the community using media tools such as radio, television, print and marketing. This presentation will also define thinking about thoughts, messages or information, as by speech, signals, writing or behavior. It also helps to increase interpersonal rapport. Some topics are advertising, broadcasting, and journalism. Some video and materials will be distributed for guidance in further communications after the workshop. It helps to understand and utilize today's mass communication to advance your agenda.


Abstract:

The presentation will focus on coordination and preparing local, state, regional and national newscasts, radio programs, public affairs programming. It will highlight on researching, writing, producing and directing broadcasts and video shoots. It will explain activities with pre- and post-production of programs. It will provide logistical arrangements, cost estimates and staff and equipment rental and scheduling, securing needed materials and services. The benefit is more exposure in the community for the club, church, organization or business.
